CHATSWORTH, Calif., Nov 07, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Pentadyne Power Corporation ( www.pentadyne.com), the world leader in flywheel energy storage systems, today announced that it has appointed Jeff Colton as Senior Vice-President of Sales & Marketing.
Colton joins Pentadyne from Skybility, a developer of embedded cellular systems where he served as Executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. He was previously Vice-President of OEM Sales for the Saft battery division of Alcatel and has held executive sales leadership positions with Maxwell Technologies, Sanyo Energy and General Electric. He earned his BS in Business from the Rochester Institute of Technology and next year expects to complete his MBA at San Diego State University.
"Jeff was my most valuable asset when I was President & GM of Maxwell Technologies' ultracapacitor business," said Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough. "He exceeded revenue targets every quarter, and I'm looking forward to him doing the same for Pentadyne."
"I am very fortunate to be joining Pentadyne at this juncture," Colton said. "We have unseated the former flywheel market leader in unit sales and are currently at an all-time record high in backlog. Pentadyne, clearly, has the best product, the best value proposition and the best channel partners for its markets. But there's plenty of growth and accomplishments yet ahead, and I look forward to contributing to them."
